Monday Meditation:
Receiving from Source
Am I asking the gift from the right bearer?
Does that which I want come from the bearer which I am approaching?
Does the wealth I want come from the things I do? The clients I attract? From my boss or the corporation I work from?
Does the health I desire come from the medicine I take? The doctor I see?
Does the love I long for come from the person I know or imagine? From a lover?
Are they The Source?
Or are these only the channels through which my dream and desires arrive?
The messenger is not the author of the message.
The trunk is not the treasure it contains.
The cup is not the wine I long to taste.
The Source is Divinity.
The Source is the Heart and Mind of the One, the creator in me and in all things.
The Source is the Divinity running through me.
It runs through all things.
And it chooses the best channel to flow my desires to me.
The client is the channel through which The Source brings me prosperity, but she is not The Source.
The medicine, the treatments, the doctors are the channels through which The Source brings me health, but they are not The Source.
The lover is the channel through which The Source allows me to experience love, but s/he is not The Source.
I receive from the channels, but do not address the channels in my prayers.
I address The Source.
And when my desires come through others, through the channels, I thank the channels
But I give my greatest gratitude to The Source.
I am not dependent on any given channel for my needs and desires; for if one channel were to fail or leave, The Source would find an even better channel.
I need not fear. There is no lack.
I depend directly on The Source.
