Is Democracy Dead?

Reading Time: 17 minutes   Is Democracy Dead? I hear a lot of you asking: “Is democracy dead?” Some of you are even grieving it as it is was already dead and buried. It does feel like that sometimes and it is heart-breaking. But we must be careful not to bury democracy alive, because it’s still kicking! True, on one hand the executive branch is quickly and brutally trying to take over. The GOP in the congress has abdicated its duty. The Plague of Silence

Reading Time: 4 minutes The Plague of Silence How Our Silence Drowns Democracy Immediately after the Destroyer in the White House took office, a blanket of silence spread through my social media. As to her perspective on what is going on, she shared that [Read more.]

Reading Time: < 1 minute Daily Wisdom Words: Judgment polarizes, creating war and conflict. Compassion allows us to find what unites us. When you judge, you are using the logical mind to categorize someone who is different as bad. Are you sure you have truly listened and reflected before reaching this conclusion? If you have not, then you are simply projecting your limitations and closing off to difference and diversity. This is the “I’m’ right, you’re wrong” attitude at the bottom of wars and conflicts. Become an agent of peace through non-judgment. Compassion allows us to open our heart and ears to listen, understand and find what unites us, so that we can leave in harmony and celebrate our differences. Why do you think that we tend to judge and blame instead of listening and loving? Click here to participate in my Facebook survey. Daily Question: How has judgment caused you pain? Reading Time: < 1 minute Daily Wisdom Words: Judgment comes from fear and perpetuates fear. Cleanse your convictions from fear before you convict others. Judgment is the work of Shadows, the fear-based Inner Selves that hold your learned defense strategies. Lighten up! Before you allow your convictions to convict others, consider that others also have their convictions. If we all believe that ONLY our convictions can possibly be right, we could not have democracy or freedom. Diversity is the spice of life! It helps evolve better human beings and keeps freedom alive. Open your mind to learn about others conviction and your heart to understand them. This is the foundation of democracy! Daily Question: Have you ever judged others just to find out that you were wrong? Please share.   Send to Kindle
