It does feel like that sometimes and it is heart-breaking. But we must be careful not to bury democracy alive, because it’s still kicking! True, on one hand the executive branch is quickly and brutally trying to take over. The GOP in the congress has abdicated its duty. The Supreme Court is supine and the GOP there is also serving fascism. But that’s not the end of democracy.
