Are you still smiling? YES! NO KINGS 2 rocked! It was joyful. It was empowering. It was uplifting. It was unifying. All the things we needed to heal from the toxic energies of this fascist coup.

But NO KINGS 2 was just the beginning. Now we need to build momentum. This article helps you stay informed and connected to the No Kings Alliance that is organizing this movement.

I'm thinking that I'm going to do a monthly newsletter to keep you posted so that you can join the coordinated weekly tasks that will allow us to advance strategically in defeating this fascist coup.

NEWS! No Kings Alliance has been formed to work in unity

The 281+ partners who organized No Kings Day have joined in a coalition to keep the momentum going and empower each citizen to participate in saving our democracy. Every Wednesday you can go to their page to find out what is the priority issue for the week and what action to take. That will allow us to work in unity towards strategic actions no matter what crazy move this regime throws at us. That way we build momentum to defeat this fascist coup.

The No Kings Alliance:

"The No Kings Alliance (the coalition of partners who brought you No Kings Day), will be updating calls to action (CTAs) on this site every Wednesday. The Trump administration is as unpredictable as it is dangerous. We can’t know exactly what the flashpoint will be next week, much less in a month. This page will allow us the flexibility to fight back against their authoritarian agenda in real time through weekly CTAs".

Across the nation, immigrant families are being targeted, detained, and disappeared — and these attacks are being weaponized as part of a broader authoritarian campaign to divide communities, silence dissent, and erode our most basic freedoms.

The Disappeared in America Weekend of Action — happening November 1–2 — is our collective response.

From protests at Home Depots, to vigils outside detention centers, to Day of the Dead events honoring lives lost to detention and deportation, thousands will take action to say we will not stand by as families are disappeared, rights are dismantled, and democracy itself is threatened.

Join this national call on October 22 to learn how you can host or participate in an event, connect with others across the country, and help build a movement rooted in solidarity, compassion, and the defense of fundamental freedoms."

Freedom to Vote
Invites you to a call on Thursday October 23 at 8-9pm EDT. This is a virtual event that you can join from anywhere to prepare and promote the VOTE EARLY DAY to ensure that as many people as possible are exercising their right to vote and that each vote counts.

Vote Early Day
On October 28th, we're celebrating Vote Early Day - a new civic holiday focused on helping every voter know how, where, and when they can vote early.

Our Voice is Our Vote. And early voting is an important resource in helping all of us make it to the polls to cast our ballots. That's why we're spreading the word to support our community members in making their plan to vote.

Join us on Thursday, October 23rd at 8 pm ET to learn how you can get involved with Vote Early Day, and plug in to efforts taking place across the country.

Call to Action: Connect to your Community

National movements make headlines and force those in the highest seats of power to face the issues, but local work saves lives. Connect with your community. Find out what they need. Join with others to help provide what you can.

Our work is first local, to mitigate harm, provide aid, and make the world directly around us safer and kinder for our neighbors.Many of you are already participating in this work. Whether it’s through providing mutual aid, participating in rapid response ICE defense networks, pressuring your local government to provide sanctuary city status, or offering to do school pickup for someone who is afraid to leave their house, you are doing vital work. We must keep this work going, and we must expand it.

You are a unique person. You have built experience and expertise. You have a unique combination of skills and talents. And you have a sacred purpose and passion. If you are alive at this time, who you are and your gifts are needed now.

It is not just about going to a big march. It is about things that may seem insignificant, but can make all the difference: sharing stories, forwarding emails, setting time aside for conversations to uplift and inform others, or taking part on the events organized, as those above-- even creating your own small event to support or empower your community.

If you are a Creative, then it may be about writing an article in your blog, storytelling, creating visuals, videos or even living installations or Living News Theater Episodes about what is going on. Some people who sing have made songs for the moment and recorded a video, then post it. We need beauty, joy and meaningful entertainment. So that may be your path. If you are an educator, then you can break down the complexity of this fascist coup and educate those who do not realize what is happening and what's at stake. You can communicate through video, visuals or articles and post them to social media or a blog. For example, I did a video sharing why marching is important to save our democracy. Watch here.

If you are a faith leader, shaman, embodiment facilitator or mental health practitioner, you can share your insights and communicate practices that can help people transmute fear into courage, stay calm and reset the nervous system. You can inspire, provide exercises and practices to help us not only survive, but grow and evolve through this dark time.

Message from the No Kings Alliance

We are at an inflection point. These are the moments that decide what the future of a nation holds.

You have all chosen to be on the side of compassion, of kindness, of the people. With those in power trying to encourage our most selfish impulses, choosing community is, in itself, a radical act; but, that choice comes with a responsibility.

It is our responsibility to help each other. It is our responsibility to fight. It is our responsibility to win. We cannot let No Kings Day be a flash in the pan. It is up to each and every one of us to commit to our next actions -- to stand up for what’s right today, tomorrow, and every day until our American dream becomes a reality.

Thank you for your work on No Kings Day. Thank you for your continued vigilance moving forward.

Remember our goal: we are growing into a mobilization of 3.5% of the population.That's 11million people we need to bring into this nonviolent pro-democracy grassroots movement, participating consistently in acts of noncompliance and nonviolent resistance, in order to build the momentum to take back our democracy. We just went from 5Million to 7Million. Now we need to get creative and engaged in our local acts of resistance. Our local work grows and strengthens our national impact.
