SERIES: Dream Creation: From Desire to Embodiment
This article is part 2 in a series of four articles. Part 1 here.
PART 2
How to eat your Dream
If wanting is not enough…
If Dreaming is not enough…
… then what is?
In Part 1 of this series I said that we need to “eat our dreams.”
How do we do this?
When we eat, we smell, taste, chew, swallow, ingest and digest the food. It then flows through our organs and systems, becoming our energy and our body. We ultimately are what we eat.
Receive the Food
To eat your Dream is to stop seeing them as something “out there” that is far away, unreachable and even alien to who you are now.
As long as you see your Dream like that, you will not be able to manifest it simply because your Reticular Activating System will reject it. The amygdala sounds all alarms when something clashes against your identity. It won’t let it in!
Your energy system rises up to resist it and your fight or flee mechanism is triggered.
This is the core cause of why you —and most people— avoid, resist, procrastinate and neglect what you —and they— deeply want.
To eat your Dream starts by receiving it as something that is a gift from the world to feed the seed of its potential, which ALREADY exists within you.
We take it for granted, but why is it that the food we eat sustains us? Because we are made of the same matter. We are made of the elements of earth: water, minerals, fire, air. We are creatures with meat and bones. And so that is what we eat, and we absorb these nutrients into our Inner Ecology.
Don’t laugh at this as if it were obvious. Yes, it is. It’s so simple as to become invisible. But here’s a fact: if we were made of metal, the food of the earth would not sustain us.
When you change your perception of your Dream from something “out there” and instead assume that your desire is the evidence of your potential ~which already exists within you~ everything changes.
You are allowing the Dream food in. Now your Dream can transform you.
- Why? Because you can receive it.
- Why? Because now you are recognizing that this Dream food is the very substance that you are ALREADY made of.
Anorexics perceive food as their enemy. (And as of lately, the media has almost all women and some men thinking like this). They reject it, and if they do not heal they eventually die.
Most people are Dream Anorexics. They reject their dreams as if they were poison, as if eating them would result in abundance that they cannot stomach —a substance they cannot accept.
Chew the Food
Once you accept your Dream as part of who you are, you allow it into your being.
To chew food is to grind it into smaller particles for easy digestion.
To chew your Dream is to clarify every aspect of your desire, purpose and vision; to calibrate each detail according to your Heart’s wisdom and coherence. This allows you to tap into your Personal Compass: your Soul. It will give you clear directions.
Chewing your Dream is also the action of grinding it into doable tasks. Internal and External Actions that allow your Dream to feed your Soul and allow you to DO your Dream.
To swallow your Dream is to accept, allow and receive its nature as part of your Sacred Self.
You stop seeing your Dream as something that you need to “get” or “do” or “go to.” Instead you experience your Dream as part of who you are. You connect to your DreamSelf, the aspect of your being who ALREADY is your Dream.
When you assume, own and allow your Dream as an expression of who you are, you ignite the powerful alchemy of manifestation.
Remember:
You do not attract what you want.
You don’t even attract what you need.
You attract what you are.
This alchemical truth is in action all the time, whether you know it or not, whether you believe it or not. It is a natural law.
Coming up next week: Part 3: Become your Dream
* I spell Dream with capital “D” to distinguish your Soul’s Dream and life purpose from acquisition dreams or sleep dreams.
