Reading Time: 4 minutes The Heart of Beauty with Chorus including a modified version of the Navajo prayer “I walk in beauty” 1: This is a ceremonial poem. I created it as an oasis for us to enter serenity and replenish our energy during these turbulent times. The chorus has a ChiDance with simple movements that we can do to accompany the words as a form of movement meditation. This practice is keeping me sane and returning me to beauty every day! Let me know how it works for you. NOTE 2: Soon I will be creating a video of me reading the poem and doing the movements so that you can do it with me whenever you want. I’ll try to embed the video here or place a link. If you sing up in the form at the bottom, I will send you a notice when it’s ready. NOTE 3: I am Maria Mar and I am available to perform this ceremonial poem for your audiences. It is a great event opening for bringing people into harmony and uplifting the energy . It [Read more.]

Reading Time: 4 minutes Book Review by Maria Mar Book: Power up for Profits Author: Kathleen Gage Recommended for: Dreampreneurs, authors, healers and other experts who want to start-up, profit-up or upgrade their purpose-based business so that it generates profits. I’ve been a fan of Kathleen Gage for years, and this book reminds me why. In “Power up for Profits” Kathleen once again shows her gift to help entrepreneurs make money by placing one foot in front of the other instead of running ourselves into the ground. For business starters, it’s a primer on how to build a profitable foundation for your business, and the book is full of ideas that you can immediately implement. For those dreampreneurs, spiritpreneurs or fempreneurs who have been working for a while and have gained some visibility and clients, it’s a system-check up that will allow you to see what aspects of your business are not generating income, why and how to course-correct for profitability and how to grow from there. Kathleen’s core message is that you can build a spiritually-founded, value-anchored and purpose-based business that makes you [Read more.]

Reading Time: 2 minutes How many relaxation opportunities have you missed this week? Check it out! Hi, this is Maria Mar in another LifeByte, a real life story that brings real life lessons. When we learn through others’ mistakes, we save ourselves our own!): A couple of days ago I was at the doctor’s office. The door opens and the nurse calls out a name. –Andrew Collins! The elder man is reading from a tablet and has his ipod on. –“Way to go!” I think, for he’s the only one that’s not stressed out by waiting. The reason being that he is NOT waiting. He’s doing his thing! He calmly closes his tabled and puts it in his bag. Then he takes off his earphones and rolls the cable, and he puts those in his bag, too. His movements are almost Zen-like. The man is consciously taking his time. I could see that this man has made it a point not to rush. I’m admiring the fellow again. “This guy’s smart!” I’m thinking. Then I remember that the nurse is waiting for him. “This [Read more.]

Reading Time: 2 minutes I am (A self-love poem) Maria Mar ©2012 This is my 2011 I am poem written in retrospective * I am A speck of dust flying in the wind. The pollen perhaps that germinates a field. The oxygen atom that revives a breathless man. I am A tiny drop in the vast ocean. The drop that joins others to rise in a huge wave. The drop that carries food to a school of fish. I am a wee light glowing in the Great Darkness. The light that brings the lost ships to harbor and guides the child safely home. I am not so big that I burst out of my own skin. Not so small to be insignificant. Not less. Not more. I am enough; perfect, in fact, for the purpose for which I was created. And while that purpose may not fill a stadium, it feels my heart. And that is a vastness for which no words exist except my own. ————————– Maria Mar March 30, 2012 *From Diary of Now * NOTE [Read more.]
