I stop focusing on others as a way to avoid my own happiness and fulfillment. I stop giving as a way of stealing from myself to feel generous. I heal the belief that if I give to myself I am selfish and that in order to be good I have to sacrifice my well being for others.

For centuries women have been domesticated into selflessness by a society that needs them to nurture life without taking the credit or rocking the boat.  This lead to women learning to get what they wanted through giving and manipulation, as they had no rights and often no finances.
