I am
(A self-love poem)
Maria Mar ©2012
This is my 2011 I am poem written in retrospective *
I am
A speck of dust
flying in the wind.
The pollen perhaps
that germinates a field.
The oxygen atom
that revives a breathless man.
I am
A tiny drop
in the vast ocean.
The drop that joins others
to rise in a huge wave.
The drop that carries
food to a school of fish.
I am
a wee light
glowing in the Great Darkness.
The light that
brings the lost ships to harbor
and guides the child
safely home.
I am not so big
that I burst out of my own skin.
Not so small
to be insignificant.
Not less.
Not more.
I am enough;
perfect, in fact,
for the purpose for which
I was created.
And while that purpose
may not fill a stadium,
it feels my heart.
And that is a vastness
for which no words exist
except my own.

* NOTE FROM AUTHOR:
Every year I write an I AM poem for my birthday. Last year, however, I could not write it because I was going through very difficult times that demanded every ounce of my energy. Today I wrote this I AM poem in retrospective and offer it to you as a message of self-love.

A Place for Roses
This inspirational story is a first-person narrative of my own journey to heal my issues with wealth, health and love. The fictional story is embedded with shamanic knowledge from the Sacred Feminine and is especially targeted for spiritual, creative women. Witness the transformation I experienced as I realized that my active faith and courageous choices had opened new possibilities for me. Cry with me at the pain of living my loved ones behind. Laugh with me as I come to term with everyone’s chosen path, and enjoy my bitter-sweet family Christmas dinner.
