Okay, so you have a dream. Great. What are you doing about it? You can talk about the Law of Attraction until your tongue hangs out. But I personally guarantee you that the only thing you may attract with mental or verbal speculation is a headache. The Law of Attraction, like the rest of the Dream Laws, is about energy and resonance. It is about spinning a vibration that resonates with what you desire. What are you spinning with your words, your every day acts, your deep-seated beliefs, those that you may not even tell others, those that you may not even know you have?
My question is not about working frantically to “fix” yourself. Goddess, no! We are already stretch to the limit and stressed beyond it! I am not asking you to judge or badger yourself, either. I am asking you to look at the landscape of your life. What is in the foreground? What is in the background?
If you are always placing problems in the foreground, your life will be full of problems. If you usually place bills, responsibility, security and survival, your life will be full to the top with…guess what?… bills and survival-based fear and worry. If everyone else and their needs goes to the foreground while you stay in the background, then the landscape of your life is about others, and you are left out of it.
There is a tiny place inside you. It’s perhaps the size of a small treasure chest. Place your open hand, palm down, on the center of your chest. There. That’s the place. The place where you point to when you say “I”. Who is “I” for you? Are you living this “I” that you are in this tiny place called Soul? This is the Seat of your Soul. Are you occupying that seat? Your Personal Dream is an expression of your Soul. It has to do with what nurtures your Soul, what makes you deeply happy (not just entertained) and what fulfills your potential. Are you seating in the Seat of your Soul? Are you giving your Dream a place in the foreground of your life, day after day? Or does your Ipod get more attention than your Soul?
“There are people who put their dreams in a little box and say, ‘Yes, I’ve got dreams, of course I’ve got dreams.’ Then they put the box away and bring it out once in awhile to look in it, and yep, they’re still there. These are great dreams, but they never even get out of the box. It takes an uncommon amount of guts to put your dreams on the line, to hold them up and say, ‘How good or how bad am I?’ That’s where courage comes in.”
Erma Louise Bombeck
I invite you to assume that courage, to own the landscape of your life and begin to bring your Personal Dream, your Soul and yourself to the foreground. This is a process, not a project. To help you start your Dream Journey, I have created this blog. Beyond it, I have created a one-year Dream Journey in a safe place called the Dream Express Membership.
Naming your dream is bringing it to life. Don’t keep it in that tiny box, hidden from the light and the eyes of those who can nurture it. Bring it out into the open, let it roam free in the landscape of your days.
This is not about great acts of heroism or being perfect. This is about moving each day an inch, perhaps a millimeter, closer to your personal truth, to your Soul, to that which dances inside you waiting to be expressed and to take form in the world. Every day a millimeter, an action, a thought, a word, a release, a sharing or a shedding. In one year you will be a different person. More focused, confident and above all, believing in your dream and making it real.
Here’s to dreaming.
