Fear: the enemy of self-love

What is the greatest enemy of self-love? FEAR! Fear constricts your mind and energy field. Seriously!As a shaman, I can tell when a person is experiencing fear because the energy field contracts to about 3 inches from the physical body.

But not only that; it becomes more solid and looks like a tomb. Not a pretty image, but one that gets the message across. Fear can kill you! Actually, in the Spiritual Warrior shamanic tradition it is said that it IS fear that often kills you, not a dangerous situation. Fear kills you because it closes off your vast repertoire of alternatives, creativity, courage and spiritual protection.

Fear often leads to low self-esteem, stress and stress-related diseases and accidents. Literally speaking, fear makes you stupid! I mean it. It closes off your cellular receptors to the external environment and reduces your brain activity, so that all your energy is booked to your fight or flight response. If the threat is not real, what a waste of energy! If it is, being stupid is not the best way to face it. Either way, you need to stay in self-love.

Fear can be your ally, but only if you keep your self-love flowing by keeping your heart open and looking at it on the face.

What to do?

1. Access whether there is real danger, a true immediate physical threat or if you are reacting from learned limitations.

2. As you do, love yourself in your fear, for it may be the darkness that sheds light on your courage. If you stay in self-love, you will be able to access the awareness of your fear and the Shadows connected to it. You will learn tons about your personal truth. You will be able to transmute some hidden wounds into Personal Power. I call Shadows the Scouts to Personal Power. Keep detached and aware, and you will be able to do this powerful alchemy. When you love yourself unconditionally, you stop reacting and judging your reactions, and this brings peace and wisdom into situations that in the past trigger reactiveness.

3. Stand in the place of love. When you connect to the love in the universe, mega dosis of love waves flow your way from many dimensions, including Angels, Warriors and Healers of the Light and other energy beings that can protect and illuminate you.

4. Refuse to act from fear. If the threat is real, shift to your Higher Self and act from courage. Allow the right action to flow into your consciousness by opening to and receiving guidance.

If you realize that there is no immediate physical threat, release the urge to react. Enter stillness. Seek counsel. Act only when you can act from wisdom and self-love.
