The Ego speaks in measures, judgments and categories. It pulls you to perform according to certain measurements and standards.
The Divine gives you a glimpse into your infinite potential so that you can step into it.
The Ego attaches you to the labels and limits you learned and inherited.
The Divine takes you by the hand of light and walks you into the Sacred Darkness, so that you befriend the Sacred Mystery of life.
The Ego abhors The Unknown and will scare you to keep you away from anything new that it perceives as a risk. It will attach you to what is familiar.
The Divine comes in dancing and awakens your grace. Its dance makes it easy, effortless, organic. It flows with life. It moves along the grain of your nature.
The Ego pushes you along the cultural standards, rushing you to perform, fix yourself, stand out. It grates against the grain of your soul. That’s why the things it tells you to do are difficult to implement and bring you effort and struggle. Because they go against your grain.
