SERIES: Dream Creation: From Desire to Embodiment
PART 1
To Dream is not Enough
Today is tough love day here.
It simply breaks my Warrioress’ heart when I see so many of you longing, struggling and hungering for your Dreams or purpose… and then judging and shaming yourself because you are not embodying it yet.*
I often talk about the process of creating and manifesting —and I usually start from the inside out —because that’s how wings are grown. In my experience, without the intentional, emotional and energetic processes that I call Internal Actions— even if you take action, it will be ineffective.
But today I want to focus on something else. I want to reveal to you the force that is probably swallowing your Dream right now. This influence devours the Dreams of millions of people. About 95% of those who are not creating their Dream right now are in the grip of this monstrous force.
Here’s the raw true:
It is not enough to want.
You may want something with all your heart. You may want it so bad it hurts.
But that won’t make it happen.
I know people who go through the same song and dance every time they see me:
“I really, really want to XYZ, Maria. I feel so frustrated. I don’t want to keep on ZYX. What do I have to do?”
So I give them a resource, or give them my card and tell them to call me for a FREE strategy call, to see if I can help them or refer them to someone else.
…And they don’t call.
I meet them two years down the road, and they are still in the same song and dance.
No. It is not enough to want. In fact, most people do nothing about what they want, no matter how bad they want it.
Shocking, isn’t it?
Here’s something even more shocking.
It is not enough to Dream.
“But Maria, how can you say that when you are the Dream Alchemist? Isn’t that like retiring… or something?”
No. It is just the simple truth.
Most people have dreams. And most people do NOTHING to make them true. This is a sad reality, but it doesn’t help you or anybody to deny it. You can only change what you can see.
I want you to be really clear on this:
But most people will not go beyond passive dreaming; and if they do, it is to complain about:
- How their dream is not happening (by osmosis, without them doing a thing to make it happen).
- How their dream is not possible. But when you point out to 10 people who are doing what they dream of doing; they will give you 10 different reasons why the Dream is possible for THOSE people, but not for them. The only reason they will not give you is the true one: they are doing nothing to make it happen.
There’s one other thing that most people are willing to do for their dreams: to blame something else for the fact that they are not doing them.
When it is not the economy that is to blame it is the system, their upbringing, the evil nature of humanity, the way the world is or their lack of money, time or contacts. And on it goes. Everyone and everything is to blame.
In fact ~if my memory does not fail~ according to Virginia Satir, the Mother of Family Therapy; the largest percentage of people in any given group is likely to be the blamers.
That is why Dreaming alone won’t make it happen.
In fact, here’s an excerpt from the shamanic performance I am presenting this season, entitled: You’ve Come a Long Way, Sister: It’s Time you Come ALL the Way!
“Dreams are only good if they are food.
That is why the caterpillar builds its chrysalis:
to feed on its dream,
to absorb its own potential.
Dreams are meant as food for our possibilities.
We need to eat our dreams.
We need to absorb them into our being.
We must BECOME our Dream.”
Coming up next week: Part 2: How to Eat your Dreams
* I spell Dream with capital “D” to distinguish your Soul’s Dream and life purpose from acquisition dreams or sleep dreams.
