Message from the Kogi, Keepers of the Earth

Reading Time: 4 minutes In 1990 the Kogi came down from the Sierra Nevada in Northern Colombia to give us a warning. These native are Earth Keepers and have been taking care of the spiritual and physical health of the Earth for thousands of years. They survived the Spanish invasion of their lands by keeping themselves isolated but in 1990 they told BBC-TV that  it was time to send a message to the Younger Brother, as they call the rest of the people. I share the message they delivered then because the Kogis are back with new and graver warnings. They can no longer protect the earth by themselves. The mountain they inhabit, a micro-cosmos where they could observe all climates on earth, is now getting sick. The Kogi are warning that now only we can stop the damage, and the time window is closing. They could see that something was wrong with their mountain, with the heart of the world. The snows had stopped falling and the rivers were not so full. If their mountain was ill then the whole world was in [Read more.]

Why we are all dead ~ and how to come alive

Reading Time: 5 minutes The Australian natives called the “Real People” call us mutants. They are kind, if we consider what the Kogi natives from Northern Colombia call us. They say we are dead; the dead people. Why? Because we have lost connection to the rest of the natural world so radically that we do not have the energy to be fully, vibrantly alive. As I write these words, a tree is being cut in the garden outside my window. It was a beautiful, exuberant tree with luscious branches that harbored birds, gave flowers and made my mornings a delight. It gifted me with its shadow and its green splendor. But it was more than that. It was a friend. It had inspired me many poems, taught me many life lessons, answered many of my questions. It shared my dreams and healed me when I was sick. Today I woke up when a beautiful dream suddenly turned into a nightmare. I got up and heard the giant saws and looked out of the window to see my friend being mutilated. I looked at the [Read more.]

What am I becoming?

Reading Time: < 1 minute Monday Meditation What am I becoming?   Every thought that you feed with your emotions, is a step in your Becoming. Every choice you make, directs the route of your Becoming. Every emotion you cradle and channel, flows to your Becoming. Every creation that you offer the world is your Becoming. Every new lesson you learn or refuse, is a point in the grid of your Becoming. Every single point of attention you hold consistently is a cell in your Becoming.   And thus you arrive at your adulthood, then at your maturity, then at your old age. And who you are at each stage is the direct consequence of your actions and creations. And you become that.   You are a frequency, an energy pattern vibrating as it moves, flows or congeals. And that pattern is created now… was created yesterday… is created every day. This is your Becoming.   Now ask yourself: What am I becoming? Click To Tweet   Send to Kindle

Meditation: To heal or not to heal: Tracking vs Tantrum

Reading Time: 3 minutes I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it, and I’m telling you. It’s not pretty. If you are going through a disease or condition that requires healing, PLEASE, PLEEEAAASE! Stop fighting and start listening. Listen lovingly to your  self-healing and it will begin to heal. As a matter of fact, it’s trying to heal right now, but you won’t let it. And you know what’s getting on the way? Your constant tantrums! Let me explain. So you don’t have the energy you’d like to have. What do you do? (Check all that are true.) Complaint about not having enough energy. Push yourself to do more than what your body can, and feel even worst. Start insulting your condition. Confess. I know you do it! Compare yourself with when you were superyoung and had energy to spare, and then insult this old junk of a body that no longer has that same energy level. Confess it. It’s OK. Been there done that. You are just human. None of these things is going to activate the miraculous self-healing power of your body. Why? Simply [Read more.]

Ecstasy is your nature

Reading Time: 2 minutes For years, I was trapped in the slavery of caretaking. (Unlike caregiving, caretaking is an addictive giving and caring, constantly focused on others at the expense of the self). For many years, I sacrificed my sleep, rest and desires to serve others. For many, many years I struggle to provide “real” service by delivering what I was told others wanted, doing my duty; which could not possibly be what made me happy. And I got sick. I got sick and tired. I got very unhappy. I got poor. I ended up homeless. And standing in the Power of Zero, of having lost everything, I reached inside my being and found the joy of being my True Self. Being who I truly, naturally, joyfully and spontaneously am. Doing what makes me happy. It was at that moment, when everything seemed lost that I found myself and my Personal Compass. Click To Tweet It is joy. You were born to live an ecstatic life. You were created to do the work that makes you ecstatic. Click To Tweet That ecstasy is the [Read more.]

Joyfully assert your right to happiness

Reading Time: 4 minutes Joyfully assert your right to happiness This spring, joyfully, lovingly and creatively assert your right to be happy as a woman and in so doing, you will help your loved ones to value the Sacred feminine and reconnect to Earth. This is part of a three-part series. Read the first here. Read the second here. Your right to happiness is like laughter. It can be contagious. It is healing. But women have been embedded with the belief that when we are happy we are selfish, that when we do what we want, we are somehow stealing from our loved ones. The opposite is true. Your happiness is the best gift you can give others. Here are five rights that you can nurture in your life right now. The Right to be Be. You don’t have to work that hard. Everything you have to give to the world is contained in your presence, like fragrance in perfume. Click To Tweet The Sacred Feminine teaches that your gifts are embedded in your presence. Breathe deeply. Align with your heart and listen to [Read more.]
