Do you Need to Create a Chrysalis?

Do you Need to Create a Chrysalis?

I want to share with you the magic of my most recent shamanic performance that took place on Sunday, May 17th in New York.

I just emerged from my ceremonial chrysalis and did a magical Butterfly Dance.

This was an in-depth ceremony for me as well as a shamanic performance and journey for the women in the audience.

I first wrote a poem and then danced it. The poem was a shamanic journey through the process of creating my chrysalis, feeding on it to become my dream and finally emerging as my embodied potential.

“But what is this chrysalis?” you may ask.
In nature, the chrysalis is the new skin that the caterpillar builds in order to nurture and protect its transformation into butterfly.
The Sacred Feminine School of Wisdom teaches us that women also need to create a chrysalis to nurture and protect our transformation. Throughout time, there have been different ceremonies, rites or special places for women to do this, from the Moon Lodge to the Red Tent.
If you are right now undergoing a change —or even […]

Dreamtime Story: Toxins and Violence in the Psyche

Dreamtime Story:

Toxins and Violence in the Psyche
Author’s Note: This is a stirring, yet real story that took place at two dimensions: DreamTime and real time in my life during the past week. I share it with you because it’s a powerful experience of how toxins become anger, chaos and violence in our psyche. It also lets us know how the universe is in constant dialogue with us and how our body can help us heal our psyche.

Murder, She Wrote: Gas Poisoning in the Reel and the Real
My studio is adjacent to the kitchen. I don’t have a TV and when I want some television or video entertainment I watch Netflix in my computer.
Last week I was watching (again) a rerun of “Murder, She Wrote.” I like good detective movies, but except for this one, all the ones done in the USA have stressful elements, such as lots of violence, car chases and explosions and unnerving music. I do not watch TV like that —especially late in the evening— because I’ve noticed that the vibrational frequency this type of violent stimulus […]

 Inspiration:
Mother Earth Totem
Enjoy this exquisite wood carving by Veronica (Ronnie) Sexton. I see it as a totem calling us to the Healing of Gaea.
Here are the words of the artist.
“Mother Earth-Gaia, She who has given us every meal that we have eaten, the air that we breath the water that we drink. In ancient times we knew this and we worshipped and honoured Her. We knew Her rhythms and Her cycles. The leaves set in resin represent Autumn one of the four seasons. Just as there are days in the week, seasons in the year, we are now living in the age of Kali Yuga the last of the quarter of a larger cycle. We are living in a time of great change and destruction on this planet. The rocks that sit in drops are the tears of sadness for the rape and abuse caused to Mother Earth-Gaia almost to the point of Her complete destruction.
“The sculpture Mother Earth is carved as a reminder of the never ending love She has for us Her children. We have free will, so […]

Story: The Veils, the Shadows and the Swan

Friday Story
The Veils, the Shadows
and the Swan

Alma had exhausted all her money and resources trying to find a way to share her poetry with the world without becoming a starving artist.
I am sick and tired of working two and three jobs while keeping poetry as a hobby. Writing at night exhausts me. I begin my long working day tired and frustrated. But what could I do? Publishers say that poetry does not sell, and I don’t have the money to publish and promote myself. Plus everyone wants poetry to be free, and I can’t live just from the few books sold. The math doesn’t add up. If I could become a great poet, like Maya Angelou or Pablo Neruda. Or maybe a famous performer like Lady Gaga… then perhaps my poetry would inspire millions and I will be able to earn my living from my passion and purpose.
Lost in these thoughts, Alma found herself in a strange vicinity. She was smiling at the last thought of being like Lady Gaga, finding it as outrageous as impossible, when she realized that […]

The 12 Veils of Forgetfulness

The 12 Veils of Forgetfulness

This is the second article in a series of 2. Read the first article here: Soul Hatching Meditation.

The Veils of Forgetfulness are the mental, emotional and energetic interferences that keep your programming running, veiling and interfering with your conscious connection to your Soul.
They were created during childhood and youth but can also be created in adulthood as the result of a trauma.
Either through conditioning or conclusion, you create these veils as protections to your Soul, to your Essence.
But once created, they become attached to your Primary Identity and become a mask that hides your Essence and pops up each time you want to connect to your Core Self.

How the Veils of Forgetfulness are Created
They are created in either of two ways:

Someone —usually an adult (in childhood) or a person to whom you have conferred authority— convinces you to see yourself in certain way. This can be the way they see you or the way they believe you should see yourself in order to be good or successful. An example of this would be the mother that […]
