Gandhi said:
Consider the problem that affects you right now. What injustice oppresses you? What limitations frustrate you? What lack befalls you?
Now consider what you are doing about it.
If you are just complaining, you are part of the problem.
Do something about it, and you just became part of the solution.
Most people are blamers. Most people give their power away to leaders so that they do not have to face the responsibility of their actions. And then they complain.
Most people keep silent when they disagree. They do nothing when they see an injustice. They become the silent accomplices of bullys and tyrants.
Most people avoid confrontation, risk or standing out because they stood up for what they believe. They are part of the problem.
Assume your leadership. Take action. Mobilize those you know towards the solution you want. Use your gifts, talents, skills, experiences and expression to generate a movement for change. Write or blog about it. Paint or sing about it. March or walk for it.
Whether you educate, organize, inspire, protest, fundraise or mobilize about it, taking action is your way out of the problem. It is the way you become part of the solution. It is the path to be the change you want in the world.
When you do this, you will witness an unbelievable phenomena: those who complain the most are often the ones who resist taking action the most, becoming complicit with their oppressors or problems.
