“Shadow shapes the light.” Maria Mar
Extended Tip:
Among some spiritual circles there is an obsession with enlightenment. When you focus on the light and reject the shadow, you fall into an illusion of enlightenment that is pretty dangerous. I have seen people who believe they are enlightened when their behavior denounces them as arrogant, rigid, self-righteous and lacking compassion and kindness. Spirit taught me a lesson when I asked about the dance of light and shadow. Do this exercise: On a white paper draw a mountain with white pencil or hue. Can you see the mountain? Now use a shadow hue –whether gray or black– to go over the outline. Now you can see the shape of the mountain. ‘This is the use of Shadow,’ my Spirit Guides pointed out. ‘They show you the contours of your light.'” Maria Mar
