Drawing the Bridge
She wanted to pour herself into the silence between them,
like ink over the white paper,
drawing a bridge that they transversed dancing together.
She wanted to penetrate the thick armor
with which he had shielded his heart,
like water falling through cracks and crevices, softening the sharp rocks.
She wanted to melt her own harshness,
like a warm sun caressing a snow-covered peak.
But the silence extended between them, a love story being erased.
His armor grew thicker as he turned away.
She herself was brittle, prickly, untouchable.
She remembered the exotic fruit in the Caribbean Island,
the one they had to peel off slowly because the outer layer was poisonous.
She remembered how sweet and soft the pulp was.
Her voice became soft and sweet,
but her words became sharp in the inside,
so that they peeled off her thick barbs and exposed her soft, aching truth.
He turned towards her, surprised.
His voice became deep and bare
as his words also undressed his pride
to expose the underbelly beneath his armor.
The bridge was drawn
and though they did not move an inch nor danced together,
the distance disappeared.

The Queenly Gown and the Girl in Rags
As Lilly looked in the mirror in the window display of the department store, she crunched her neck and hunched her shoulders, trying to hide from the world.
“I wish earth would open and swallow me right now!” she whispered.
She looked like a beggar in those old patchwork pants. The fabric of her blouse was threadbare
from use, so that it seemed translucent.
“I know I deserve better. I know I do my very best,” Lilly whispered.
But why do I have to be poor? Why do I have to wear hand-me downs bought in the cheapest thrift shops? Why do I have to work in a lowly paying job as a waitress? Why do I have to live in a rented room? Why do I have to do my own low-budget production, do it all alone so that by the time I’m on stage I am exhausted? It’s not fair!
But today Lilly did not want to hurt with aimless questions and self-recriminations. She did not want to fight her destiny.
Lilly wanted to dream and to enjoy [...]
Book: Love-based Copywriting: How to Write Copy that Attracts, Inspires and Invites your Ideal Prospects to Become Ideal clients
Author: Michelle PW
Topic: Direct Response Copywriting
Great for: If you have a practice or business, if you need to build an audience or readership or if you need to attract members through direct response copywriting.
I’m so glad that I read this book! It’s only 53 pages and it reads easily, but it helped me address issues that I’ve been struggling with in my communication and marketing with potential clients for years.
First of all, I am so glad that Susan Liddy, who wrote the foreword, created a love-based paradigm shift movement because my frustration with the marketing models out there had escalated to the point that I had stopped reading, taking training or in any way reaching out for any marketing model. I was resigned to spend time exploring until I hit the nail, all by lonely self. SOB!

The Alchemy of Vulnerability
Alchemy is the art and science of transmuting a lesser substance or frequency into a higher one, as in transmuting lead into gold, pain into power or an obstacle into an opportunity.
Today I want to reveal one of the teachings of the Sacred Feminine School of Wisdom which has been instrumental in my ability to transmute pain into power. It is the Alchemy of Vulnerability.
The Alchemy of Vulnerability includes three Acts of Power.
Following the Pain: When you perceive pain as your ally, you respond to it very differently as when you perceive it as an attack. When you confuse pain for an attack or threat, you avoid pain. This cripples your self-healing ability. When you recognize that pain is the cry of your BodySoul letting you know something is out of harmony, then you follow its trail to find what needs healing. This decreases your healing time and increases your self-healing ability.
Diving into the wounds: Being vulnerable is being able to be hurt. Being vulnerable gives you the potential of being vulnerary, which means that you are [...]
Love Letter to my Sisters:
and the Purpose of your Pain
“Avoiding pain leads to the grieving being stagnated, so that the memories stay active and keep being charged with pain for longer than necessary.” Dr. John Veltheim, founder of the International BodyTalk Association.
Dear beautiful sister (or brother):
I am grieving the death of Robin Williams, whom I loved and admired deeply. Asides from inspiring me with his creative genius as an actor and storyteller, Robin embodied for me the essence of kindness, the expression of magic and joy and the ability to receive life deeply. For these reasons, his choice to end his pain by ending his physical life has deeply affected me.
As I grieve Robin’s death I am diving deeply into the pain of his loss both at a personal level and at a communal level —what his life and death mean to us at this time. My intent is to find the deepest and highest gifts, lessons and purpose in Robin’s life as well as his last choice.
This is the way my Soul wants to render homage [...]
Need a change? Create an Act of Power
It’s 2014 and if an alien looks down on earth she may not understand why we are called Human Beings. It seems we are more Human Doings than anything else! So much action and activity, so much busyness!
Yet, for all our doing, we are often ineffective in our enterprises because we do not distinguish between an action and an Act of Power.
An Act of Power is a shamanic term for a process that allows you to transform your life, implement the changes you want or manifest what you desire. This process incorporates both, Internal Actions and External Actions. For this reason, its effects are radical, long lasting and alchemical.
An Act of Power is made of smaller units, called Tasks of Powers.
Here’s an example of how it works. It is based on a year in which I dedicated the entire year to one Act of Power: Loving and accepting myself unconditionally.
Act of Power:
Strengthening my self-love and to love and accept myself unconditionally, without judgment.
This year (New Year’s Resolution)
Tasks of Power:
Affirmation Practice: Every [...]
Follow the Pain
We run away from pain because it hurts.
Elemental. Obvious. Isn’t it?
Yet we often run towards danger
when it comes dress in illusion.
Illusion of power, love, satisfaction, relief.
We run towards danger and fall into addiction.
We run towards danger and fall into co-dependence.
We run towards danger and fall into deceit and deception.
We run towards danger and fall into drama and avoidance.
We run towards danger but away from pain.
It doesn’t sound so obvious now, does it?
We run away from the hurt, not the lie.
And thus we find ourselves
running away from the truth
when we run away from pain.
Yet, the doctor will tell you:
Pain is the alarm that your body raises
to let you know something is wrong.
Pain is your ally.
Pain is your adviser.
Pain is the trail that the Huntress follows
to find the true source of the danger.
Pain is the signal that the Healer follows
to find the wound and heal it.
We run away from pain.
But I invite you to follow its trail
until you find the truth,
the true source of the danger.
And when you find the wound,
don’t assume that the danger is fresh and eminent.
The Family Jewels
By Maria Mar
Sarah refused to give in.
Why should that hustler get anything? Why would she give that thief the Family Jewels that had been bought with so much sacrifice by her dad and kept by her mother as their heirloom? Why? Because he married her younger sister? Hell no!
—“He fooled her, but he’s not fooling me,” Sarah fumed.
And yet, there was a part of her who resisted taking action. Any action.
Sarah could not understand why she was paralyzed. Was it fear? Anger?
The situation was simple. This hustler had married Gwen for her money, and now that she was dead, Sarah could do what she was not able to do when Gwen was alive; cut him loose.
She had watched as Gwen dwindled while the hustler thrived. But now he’ll get what was coming to him.
—”Who does he think he is, intruding into our family like that, taking advantage of my sick sister like that; and now he wants what’s legally his? What a nerve!” Sarah fumed. “I agree. He should get what he deserves. A big piece of [...]
Facing a long-term problem?
You may be Walking your Sacred Road?
Shamans examine a person’s circumstances as either or all of three things: a Sacred Mirror, a Worthy Opponent or a Sacred Road.
I have introduced the Sacred Mirrors in this article and I have shared a shamanic story that illustrates the Worthy Opponent. Today I am going to talk about the Sacred Road.
This is not an easy thing to do today because I am grieving for a being who has lighted the world like few others, and who has gone off his Sacred Road this week, leaving a huge gap in our hearts. I am grieving for the actor, comedian and human being extraordinaire Robin Williams. Read my prayer for him here.
A Sacred Road is a path to your Personal Freedom that you are designed to travel for a while —probably a long while— in order to master the lessons you came here to embody and teach.
A Sacred Road can be a sickness or accident, a divorce or bankruptcy; a situation that takes you a while to travel, with lots of life [...]
Prayer for Robin Williams
I am grieving for a being who has lighted the world like few others, and who has gone off his Sacred Road this week, leaving a huge gap in our hearts. I am grieving for the actor, comedian and human being extraordinaire Robin Williams.
I never met him and he did not know I even existed; yet he touched me profoundly through his gift of storytelling as an actor. He touched me even deeper by his very presence; one of kindness, gentleness, compassion and joy-giving.
His Generous Spirit
Even when he was making jokes from everything, he was kind. Wherever there was a need, there he was donating, organizing support efforts and being a support in the lives of others. If you take 20 minutes today to find stories about him, you will see a trail of kindness. He gave scholarships to young people. He starred in the film of beginners, giving them the push to stardom.
“Robin Williams changed my life. He was a great actor and a generous person,” she wrote. “Through a scholarship, he made it possible for [...]
